County Superintendent of Schools Appointment
Dr. Al Mijares has announced his retirement as Orange County Superintendent of Schools, effective June 30, 2024. The Orange County Board of Education will appoint a successor to complete the remainder of Dr. Mijares' term, which ends on January 4, 2027.

Redistricting 2021
Every 10 years, coinciding with the release of U.S. Census data, trustee area maps for the Orange County Board of Education are assessed and potentially revised to reflect population shifts. The process known as “redistricting” helps ensure that board members represent an equal number of constituents.
